My journey began when I decided to find my purpose in life

I did this by diving head first into Early Childhood Education by completing my Certificate III. I then started to worked as an assistant educator, mainly with babies and toddlers, and discovered a passion for supporting families and young children. This passion led me to earn my Diploma in Early Education in 2019, a milestone I celebrated just as I married my wonderful husband, Rhys.

It was not long after I had stepped into a leadership role, overseeing a room of lively 2-year-olds, that I found out I was expecting our much-wanted baby. By March 2020, in the beginning of Melbourne's first COVID lockdown, he arrived, and everything changed. Isolated and struggling with newborn sleep challenges, I found myself lost, unsure of where to turn for help.

My Turning Point: When Everything Changed

Desperate for solutions, I immersed myself in every book, podcast, and video on infant sleep, even reaching out to a Melbourne sleep hospital for help. Yet, nothing worked, and I was exhausted from the lack of support to even attempt anything that looked liked consistent sleep training.

Then came the turning point. When my son was four months old, lockdowns lifted, and my father—a GP and ex-OB with extensive experience in baby and family care—came to help. To finally give me the support I needed to successfully sleep train my son. That first night of sleep training transformed everything. My son and I both slept soundly, for the first time in 4 months for me and the first time EVER for my son. Our combined improved sleep not only left him feeling happier then I had ever seen him it also eased my postpartum depression, allowing life to feel good again.
